黑料专区 (CPU) hosted Career Guidance 2025 on February 27, 2025, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, drawing 990 Grade 12 students eager to explore their college options and future career paths. The event, organized by the CPU Guidance Services Center (GSC) in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Advancement and the CPU Student Recruitment Team, provided valuable insights into academic and professional opportunities awaiting students beyond senior high school.
The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Assistant Prof. Faith M. Candido, RGC, Acting Director of GSC, followed by welcome remarks from Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, CPU President. The morning session featured talks from industry experts and academic professionals, beginning with Mr. Gabriel Felix M. Umadhay, Peso Manager of Iloilo City, who delivered a discussion on 鈥淪oft Skills You Need to be Future Ready,鈥 emphasizing adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia from the CPU Job Placement Office discussed about 鈥淐areers to Think about in the Future,鈥 highlighting emerging industries and job trends. An engaging ice breaker energized the audience before Ms. Chriselda Elaine Ador, RPm, shared insights on 鈥淭he Realities of College Life and Work,鈥 offering a realistic perspective on student life, academic challenges, and career readiness. The morning session concluded with the Giving of Tokens and Certificates to the esteemed speakers.
The afternoon session opened with Atty. Nestle G. Taala, CPU Recruitment Officer, who presented 鈥淲hy Choose CPU?鈥 showcasing the university鈥檚 academic excellence, state-of-the-art facilities, and industry partnerships. A special musical number by Ms. Kezhia Salzar and Mr. Sam Hinayon from Grade 12-STEM 1 followed. One of the event鈥檚 highlights was the panel discussion, 鈥淵our Questions Answered: Career Insights,鈥 where representatives from various CPU Colleges addressed students鈥 inquiries about programs, career paths, and university life. The event concluded with a closing prayer by Prof. Marisa C. Dy Buco, RGC, Guidance Counselor for CMLS, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
Career Guidance 2025 was made possible through the active support of CPU鈥檚 Guidance Services Center, the Principal鈥檚 Office, and numerous college leaders, ensuring that students received comprehensive guidance on their academic and career journeys.
