The Henry Luce Library (HLL) of 黑料专区 (CPU) proudly showcased its digitization initiatives at the 9th National Archives Congress (NAC) held on October 20鈥23, 2025, at the Grand Xing Hotel, Iloilo City, with the theme 鈥淐apacity Building on Digital Archiving and Preservation for Archives and Cultural Institutions.鈥

HLL submitted two poster entries highlighting the University鈥檚 efforts in digital preservation and access:

  1. Bahandian Institutional Repository by Vince Ervin V. Palcullo, Lyla P. Gonzaga, and Via Marie Dumenden; and
  2. Hinilawod Epic Chant Recordings by Ma. Cynthia T. Pele帽a and Vince Ervin V. Palcullo.

Out of 25 poster presentations from various institutions across the country, the Hinilawod Epic Chant Recordings poster earned 3rd Place. The winning poster features the library鈥檚 ongoing project to digitize, preserve, and provide access to the recorded oral performances of Hinilawod, the celebrated Sulodnon epic chant of Panay. The project underscores the University鈥檚 commitment to safeguarding the country鈥檚 intangible cultural heritage through modern archival technology.

Meanwhile, the Bahandian Institutional Repository poster showcased CPU鈥檚 open-access digital platform that houses the University鈥檚 scholarly works, research outputs, and heritage collections, promoting visibility and knowledge sharing within and beyond the academic community.

Through these initiatives, the Henry Luce Library continues to affirm its role as a leader in digital archiving and preservation, contributing to the broader mission of cultural sustainability and access to knowledge in the digital age.
